Soybean complex prices are firm in the Brazilian market.
According to Cepea researchers, the support comes from increased demand for the grain and the appreciation of the dollar. The exchange rate has boosted negotiations at ports, intensifying competition between domestic consumers and importers. Furthermore, reduced freight costs have driven up prices in the country's interior.
In this scenario, the CEPEA/ESALQ – Paranaguá (PR) and CEPEA/ESALQ – Paraná soybean indicators are operating at their highest levels of the year. Negotiations for derivatives are heated, especially those involving meal for export.
Cepea researchers indicate that, aware of recent price increases and fearing more significant increases, domestic consumers made new bran purchases to replenish their stocks.
