Soybeans in Mercosur for a century are the theme of the opening conference, on Monday, July 21, at 7 p.m. To discuss the evolution of the crop in the region, we will feature genetic improvement researcher Romeu Afonso de Souza Kiihl, from MGS Genetic Improvement and Seeds; Professor Tuneo Sediyama, from Soygene; Rodolfo Luis Rossi, from ACSoja – Argentina; and Gerardo Bartolomé, from Grupo Dom Mário. The debate will be led by journalist Giovani Ferreira.

The geopolitics of soybean cultivation will be the topic of the conference on Tuesday, July 22, starting at 8:30 a.m., to be presented by Guilherme Bastos of the Getúlio Vargas Foundation. The aim is to highlight Brazil's trade relations with other countries, influenced by the production, trade, and consumption of the grain. A conference is scheduled to discuss the sustainability of the soybean production chain in figures, starting at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 23.

The conference will be presented by Professor Edvaldo Velini of UNESP Botucatu. The objective is to present how the data generated by the research provides greater security for the supply chain, contributing to a balanced macroeconomic scenario. And what can we expect from the relationship with China in agriculture? This is the theme of the conference on Thursday, July 24th, at 9:00 am, to be led by Leticia Frazão Alexandre Leme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Larissa Wachholz of Vallya Agro. The speakers have extensive experience in Brazil's relations with China, which is Brazil's main trading partner.

For this edition commemorating Embrapa Soja's 50th anniversary, the central theme of CBSoja and Mercosoja 2025 will be 100 years of soybeans in Brazil: pillars for tomorrow. Considered the largest technical-scientific forum for the soybean production chain in South America, the organizing committee expects to bring together approximately 2,000 participants from various sectors.

The technical program will feature four conferences and 15 panels, with over 50 presentations by national and international experts from various segments related to the soybean complex. The organizing committee approved 328 technical and scientific papers to be presented in the poster session.

Another innovation in the CBSoja program will be the " Mãos à Obra" (Hands on Work) program, a space dedicated to discussing practical issues across five major topics: Soil Fertility and Fertilization, Nematode Management, Weeds, Bioinputs, and Root Development Impediments. There will also be a focus on the challenges of soybean production in Mercosur and an international workshop, "Soybean2035: A Decadal Vision for Soybean Biotechnology," which aims to discuss the next 10 years of biotechnological tools for soybean improvement, with speakers from China, the United States, Canada, and Brazil.

Innovation Arena

The Innovation Arena will be a space for product launches, presentations of outstanding technical papers, and market-proposed innovations. More than 50 exhibitors will participate in the event.
