The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) informs that the Japanese government has temporarily suspended imports of poultry meat from the municipalities of Santo Antônio da Barra (GO) and Campinápolis (MT), as well as fertile eggs and one-day-old chicks from the entire territory of the states of Goiás and Mato Grosso.
The decision follows the regionalization health protocol established between the two countries and occurs after the confirmation of outbreaks of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HIAIP) in subsistence birds in the aforementioned municipalities.
The sale of poultry products to other Brazilian states continues as normal.
The Map reinforces that the consumption and export of poultry meat and other Brazilian poultry products remain safe.
