FS promotes 1st Technical Meeting on Sustainable Animal Nutrition with Corn Ethanol Co-products

FS, one of the largest producers of ethanol and animal nutrition in Brazil, held the 1st Technical Meeting on Sustainable Animal Nutrition at its Sorriso (MT) unit this Tuesday (29).

The event brought together specialists, researchers and students from the Federal University of Paraná (Palotina and Curitiba campuses), the Federal University of Mato Grosso (Sinop and Cuiabá campuses) and the University of Santa Maria-RS, as well as representatives from Embrapa Swine and Poultry and the National Union of Corn Ethanol (UNEM), covering the sectors of poultry, swine, beef and dairy cattle, aquaculture and small ruminants.

With a focus on Science, Innovation and Sustainability, the meeting provided participants with a complete immersion in the industrial production process of corn ethanol, its co-products and the rigorous quality control processes adopted by FS. “The objective of this meeting was to provide a practical experience in the corn ethanol industry to detail the production steps, present the differences between the co-products and their respective uses in the animal nutrition segments. It was an important opportunity for professors, students and researchers to learn more about the industrial process of FS products, which should help them in their studies”, explained Rodrigo Galli, zootechnician and Marketing and Product Manager at FS.

During the event, researchers presented completed and ongoing studies on the application of corn ethanol co-products in animal nutrition. “We are committed to ensuring reliable, science-based recommendations for our customers. For this reason, supporting research with FS co-products has been one of the pillars of animal nutrition and we guarantee that we will continue to invest to ensure that producers obtain the maximum return from the use of our products,” Galli reinforced.

The meeting also created an environment conducive to networking and the exchange of experiences between professionals and academics from different segments of the animal production chain.
