Strong demand supports corn prices as production rises.

Although new estimates indicate an increase in Brazilian corn production for the 2024/25 harvest, surveys by Cepea show that corn prices continue to register small increases in most of the regions monitored.

According to the Research Center, the support comes from strong domestic demand and a more cautious stance from sellers, who are limiting the volume available.

Regarding production, data released last week by Conab indicated an increase of 2% compared to the previous month and 21% compared to the previous season (2023/24), totaling 139.69 million tons.
