Brazilian egg exports, both fresh and processed, continue at a fast pace in 2025, with significant growth in the first quarter of the year.

Secex data compiled and analyzed by Cepea show that 8.65 thousand tons were shipped from January to March, 97% more than in the same period in 2024.
According to researchers at Cepea, the increase in purchases from the United States, which has been facing an outbreak of bird flu, is one of the reasons for the advance.
In the first three months of 2025 alone, the United States has already imported a volume 28% higher than the total acquired throughout the entire last year — around 2.7 thousand tons between January and March, compared to 2.11 thousand tons in the entire last year.
Thus, the United States has taken the lead among the destinations for Brazilian egg exports, and a change in the scenario is unlikely even with the recent announcement by the US government about the application of a tariff of 10% on products from Brazil, according to Cepea researchers.
