In March, Brazil exported 114.7 thousand tons of pork (in natura and industrialized products in March), an increase of 1.4% in relation to the volume of February/25 and a significant 26.5% above that of March 2024, according to data from Secex (Secretariat of Foreign Trade).
It is worth noting that the daily average of shipments in March was the second highest in the Secex historical series, which began in 1997, being 5.4 thousand tons, 6.9% higher than in February 2025 and 37.1% higher than in March 2024.
From January to March 2025, shipments of Brazilian pork totaled 332.5 thousand tons, 16.2% above the amount shipped in the same period in 2024, according to data from Secex.
In financial terms, revenue from shipments also grew. Between February and March 2025, the amount was US$$ 275.8 million, 1.8% higher than that collected in the previous month and 44.1% above that recorded in March/24. In the first quarter, revenue totaled US$$ 783.1 million, an increase of 31.9% compared to the same period last year.
Unlike what was observed in the first quarter of 2024, when China was the main destination for Brazilian pork, now in 2025 the Philippines is the largest consumer of the protein. The volume exported to the Philippines in the first quarter of 2025 exceeded by a significant 72.7% that of the same period in 2024.
