Brazilian pork exports (considering fresh and processed products) registered a slight decline in January, but recovered again in February.
In fact, the volume exported to the foreign market and the revenue earned reached records for a month of February, according to the historical series of the Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex), which began in 1997. The increase in shipments was linked to the greater shipments to the Philippines, Mexico and Hong Kong.
According to data from Secex compiled by Cepea, in the 20 business days of February, the Brazilian swine sector exported 113.1 thousand tons of meat, a volume 8.1% higher than that of February 2025 and 16.8% higher than that of February 2024. Revenue collected by the sector totaled US$$ 271.1 million in February, an increase of 14.8% compared to the previous month and 32.6% in the annual comparison. In national currency, exports totaled R$1.5 billion, revenue 10% higher than that acquired in January and 54.2% higher than that of February 2024, also according to Secex.
As for the main destinations for Brazilian meat, the Philippines led the ranking in February, with 23,000 tons shipped, 17.9% above the amount in January. Shipments to Hong Kong increased by 40.9% and to Mexico more than doubled, totaling 13.4 thousand tons and 2.9 thousand tons respectively. Together, the two countries were the destination for 34.8% of the total shipped by Brazil last month.
