PT_BR Research from Cepea indicates that, if the current strong performance of Brazilian chicken meat exports continues in the coming weeks, 2025 could end with a new record in export volume.
This result would be verified even in the face of the avian flu case in May of this year on a commercial farm in Rio Grande do Sul.
The amount of chicken meat exported in September was the highest in 11 months, and, in this partial month of October, the daily rate of shipments is 9.6% higher than in September 2025 and a significant 16% above that of October 2024, according to data from Secex.

Researchers at Cepea explain that this scenario is favored by the recent resumption of purchases of Brazilian protein by the European Union, a factor that contributes to consolidating the recovery of the national export pace to pre-flu levels.
They also emphasize that sales to China remain suspended, and that a resumption of shipments to the Asian country could further boost total exports.
According to researchers, the prospects for record export sales in 2025, however, depend on the absence of new cases of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (H5N1 or IAAP) on commercial farms, as well as other types of influenza.
