Seapa publishes bulletin with updated prices of dairy products in Goiás

The State Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Seapa) released this Thursday (28/8) the August edition of the Goiás Dairy Sector Market Bulletin. Prepared by the Technical and Conciliation Chamber of the Goiás Dairy Chain, the newsletter monitors the variations of the main dairy derivatives in the state wholesale market.

The survey shows that, in August, the sector registered distinct fluctuations among products. Whole UHT milk was the only item in the basket to appreciate, rising 0.68%. Among the derivatives that declined, bulk cream stood out, with the largest devaluation in the period (-16.62%), followed by mozzarella cheese (-3.59%) and whole milk powder (-3.38%). Condensed milk, on the other hand, had a more moderate decline (-0.80%). Based on the weighting of the items that make up the basket, the overall index registered a negative variation of 3.08% compared to July.

For the Seapa director, reading the results helps understand the sector's current situation. "The numbers show that the dairy market remains in a phase of adjustment, but they also show that there is room for recovery," he emphasized.
